Plan oral session
Program itmes
You can use the Lecture program type to plan program items with invited contributions or speakers (see below: Examples: Presentation types).
There are two different levels of presentation scheduling.
As an event on the main level or parallel with sessions, which can be scheduled in the graphical calendar view.
As an event scheduled within a session.
Create lecture as main program item
Open the "Program list view" or the "Program calendar view"
Select the "Add lecture" button
Create and save lecture title and other basic lecture data
Lectures without room assignment
If you are not sure which room will be used for your lecture, you can create a lecture without a room assignment. In the graphical scheduler, you will find lectures without room assignment under "Not scheduled (n)".
To schedule them, drag and drop them into the schedule.
Create a lecture within a session
Open session
Open tab: "Schdule session"
Select the "Add lecture" button
Create and save the lecture titles. The other Basic data will be taken from the session.
Unscheduled lectures | Events
When the presentation is saved, it is automatically added to the schedule as the next or last item. The presentation duration is taken from the preset presentation duration in the Preferences (Duration of meetings and presentations).
If the remaining time available in the session is less than the preset presentation duration in the Preferences, the presentation will be added to the Unscheduled Lectures | Events.
To schedule it later, add it to the session schedule using drag and drop.
The duration of the presentation is based on the duration in minutes stored in the session under the selected item:
Link contributors
After saving a presentation, all tabs are active, e.g. for adding speakers.
You can add contributors immediately or at a later stage, for example after the speaker has confirmed their attendance.
