Delete abstract

Edit abstract

If abstracts have been submitted more than once for testing purposes, you can remove or withdraw them from the submission process. Deleting abstracts is not possible but not necessary:

  • Abstracts that have not been submitted or withdrawn will not be included in the review process or in statistics.

  • Withdrawn abstracts will not be taken into account for invoicing purposes.

Withdraw test abstract

1st option: Abstracts & Reviews

Navigate to
> Abstracts & Reviews (with review process)
> Abstracts (without review process)

  1. Search for submitted abstracts

  2. Open the abstract to be removed by clicking the edit icon grafik.png. The abstract editing mode will open.

  3. Switch to the "Withdraw" tab and confirm by clicking the Yes, withdraw submission button.

After an abstract has been withdrawn, you can still find it in the "Users" menu. The withdrawn abstract is now highlighted in yellow and can be ignored.

If the "Withdraw" tab is not visible, the abstract is already in the planning phase (see below).

4. The withdrawn abstract is still visible in the list view under the "Abstracts" tab (only in the admin area).

The withdrawn abstract will no longer be visible as an entry until the "Update Entries" button has been clicked.

2nd option: Users

Alternatively, you can use the "Users" section to search for submitted test abstracts.

Abstracts with different submission statuses are listed in the "Users" section. Submitted abstracts are color-coded according to their status: black = submitted abstracts.

You only need to remove the abstracts that have actually been submitted. All other abstracts (orange and grey) can be ignored.

  1. Open the abstract to be removed via the linked abstract number e.g. A-303. The abstract editing mode will open.

  2. Switch to the "Withdraw" tab and confirm by clicking the Yes, withdraw submission button.

Withdraw tab not visible?

Note: Abstracts cannot be withdrawn once the review or planning process has started. Accordingly, the "Withdraw" tab is not visible in the abstract editing form.

If an abstract still needs to be withdrawn from the process because

  • it has been submitted more than once, please contact us

  • a speaker has cancelled, please cancel the abstract
