Extend deadline

Submit abstract

As the organiser, you can extend a deadline at any time.

Depending on the submission process you use, the following deadlines apply:

  1. Regular submission

  2. Late-breaking abstract submission

  3. Invited speaker submission

  4. File upload, e.g. for e-posters or talks

Navigate to
> Settings
> Deadlines

Extend Deadline

Go to the "Deadline settings" section and select the deadline you want to adjust, e.g. "Deadline – Regular abstract submission".

Set the required date and confirm the deadline by clicking the Save button.

Note: If you want to unofficially extend the deadline, so to speak, you can set it to invisible for submitters.

1. Regular submission deadline

The regular submission deadline is the deadline for free authors to submit their abstracts after the Call for Abstracts.

2. Late-breaking abstracts deadline

The late-breaking abstract deadline allows you to organise a separate submission process after the regular abstract submission.

A late-breaking abstract is a scientific abstract submitted to a conference after the regular abstract submission deadline. These abstracts usually contain particularly current or groundbreaking research results that only became available shortly before the conference.

The late-breaking abstract deadline can also be used in the sense of late-minute abstract submissions after the regular deadline.

3. Invited speaker abstract deadline

Until this deadline, only abstracts from speakers who have the role of ‘invited speaker’ can be submitted. You can use the procedure to:

  • manage invited speakers and their talks

  • allow the submission of abstracts after the deadline

We also offer the process in an extended form as an additional module (speaker import with lecture title, invitation management, etc.). Please contact us.

4. Deadline file upload

Authors can upload additional files for each abstract they submit, e.g. posters, presentation slides, video and audio files, papers or CVs.
