Changes at abstract level
Manual allocation
You would like to assign abstracts directly to reviewers or change the assignments because
1st case:
The assignment should not be made by topic but by abstract number, e.g. because the abstracts were not assigned by topic when they were submitted.
2nd case:
The distribution of the abstracts should be adjusted individually at abstract level after an automated assignment,
or an abstract has been submitted subsequently.
Navigate to
> Abstracts & Reviews
> Manage reviews
> Reviewers <–> Abstracts
In the view you will find
> on the left: the list of reviewers
> on the right: the list of abstracts
1: Assignment by abstract number
In the list on the right, sort the abstracts by "number'"so that you can quickly identify the abstracts you want to assign by number.
In the list on the left, tick the boxes of the reviewers you wish to assign.
In the right hand list, tick the box for the abstracts you wish to assign.
Save your selection with
Save allocation
.
Note: You can filter abstracts by "presentation type" in advance, e.g. to assign posters first and then oral presentations.
2: Allocation at the level of individual abstracts
Open the detailed view of an individual abstract by clicking on the linked abstract title.
In the new view, you will see a list of all reviewers, marked with either a green or red dot.
Green dot: The person is assigned to the topic of the abstract
Red dot: The person is not assigned to the abstract topic
Select one or more reviewers and save your selection by clicking
Save allocation
.
Check before:
- If the person is assigned to the topic. If not, you can still assign them if necessary.
- In the "Abstracts" column, how many abstracts have already been assigned to the person
Assignment despite bias
You will receive a notification that one or more abstracts have not been assigned due to bias. The notification will appear if the reviewer submitted the abstract.
If you would like to assign the abstract despite the reviewer's bias, select the option "Allow allocation, even if the reviewer is the submitting author".
Check the result
Have all abstracts been allocated?
Are the abstracts equally distributed to the reviewers?
