Change e-mail address
User management
As an organiser, you can change the email addresses of user accounts at any time. Please note that each user account has a unique email address, which is used for identification when logging in to Smart Abstract.
Navigate to
> User
> Manage User
Step 1: Open user account
Filter by role, such as author or reviewer, and enter the name or email address of the user you are looking for in the search box on the right. Click the Search button.
Select the user you are looking for from the list of results and click the pencil icon
next to their role to edit their account.
The detailed view will open.
Step 2: Change e-mail for access
Select the "Edit user account" tab.
Enter the new email address and confirm with Save
.
From now on, the user can only log in to Smart Abstract using this email.
Optional: Warning about possible duplicate address
You will be asked if the new email address is a duplicate if it is already known to the system.
Select if it is the same person.
If so, click
Use data from [First name] [Last name]
If not, click
Do not transfer and use new email
and repeat the process with a different email address.
